Preservation Method: Stored in dry containers.
Functions: Dispelling blood stasis and relieving pain, promoting blood circulation and menstruation, clearing the heart and removing vexation. It is used for irregular menstruation, dysmenorrhea, obstruction of menstruation, accumulation of obstruction in the abdomen, stabbing pain in the chest and abdomen, pain of heat paralysis, swelling and pain of sores and ulcers, disturbing the heart and making people sleepless; swelling of the liver and spleen, angina pectoris.
Usage and dosage: 9~15g
Contraindications: (1) Salvia miltiorrhiza can promote the metastasis of malignant tumors, and should not be used in combination with the chemotherapeutic drugs cyclophosphamide, fluorouracil and cytarabine. (2) Danshen used together with antacids can produce chelates, thus reducing the bioavailability of Danshen and affecting the efficacy. (3) When used with western anticoagulants, sedatives, anesthetics, etc., the dose should be reduced.
Dietary contraindications: avoid vinegar, acidic food.
Precautions: (1) Women with excessive menstruation and those without blood stasis are forbidden to take it; (2) Pregnant women should take it with caution.
