It is used for weak spleen and stomach, tiredness, palpitation, shortness of breath, cough and phlegm, contracted pain in the epigastric region and limbs, carbuncle, swelling and sores, relieving the toxicity of medicines and potency.
Usage and dosage: 2~10g
Contraindications: (1) Against seaweed, daphnia, glycyrrhiza, coriander. (2) Should not be used with deer antler.
Dietary Contraindications: Avoid pork, woad and sea vegetables. Against puffer fish.
Precautions: (1) Licorice is sweet in flavor, it can help dampness and congestion of qi, and make people full in the middle, so it should not be taken by those who are full of dampness and have fullness in the chest and abdomen as well as those who vomit. (2) All kinds of edema, kidney disease, hypertension, low blood potassium, congestive heart failure and other patients, should be used with caution.
